Service Merging Tool
Navigation:Directories → Services → Select Services for Merging
Overview
The Service Merging Tool allows administrators to merge duplicate or related services within the system.
This functionality helps maintain a clean, accurate, and unified service database by consolidating redundant entries into a single, authoritative record.
It is particularly useful for clinics that have accumulated duplicate services over time due to imports, integrations, or manual data entry.
Functionality
Using the Service Merging Tool, administrators can select two or more services that represent the same or similar procedures and combine them into a single consolidated record.
During the merge:
The selected services are combined into one master entry.
Redundant services are automatically removed from the system.
All associated data (e.g., pricing, employee links, and usage references) are reassigned to the merged service to preserve data integrity.
This ensures that future scheduling, billing, and reporting operations reference only the correct unified service.
How to Use
Navigate to Directories → Services.
Review the list of existing services and identify duplicates or related entries.
Select the services you want to merge.
Click Select Services for Merging.
Confirm which service should remain as the primary record.
Click Merge to complete the process.
The system will automatically delete redundant records and redirect all linked data (appointments, invoices, and analytics) to the merged service.
Benefits
Simplifies service management by reducing duplicates.
Improves reporting accuracy and prevents data fragmentation.
Ensures consistency across all connected modules (Reception, Finance, CRM, and Analytics).
Preserves historical links, ensuring no data loss during consolidation.
Notes
Only users with administrative rights can perform service merges.
The merge action is irreversible — confirm selections carefully before proceeding.
The tool automatically reassigns references to the chosen master service to maintain historical accuracy.
It is recommended to back up the Services directory before performing large-scale merges.
